Grounding Cord Meditation
You can do this meditation anywhere except in a moving vehicle. However it is nice from time to time to do it barefoot with your feet touching the Earth, even buried a few inches deep.
Sit comfortably, with upright spine.
Take a deep breath, inhaling through the nose and filling the lungs. Hold for a second or two, and then exhale through the mouth. Repeat 3 times.
Now in your mind’s eye see roots going down from your feet into Mother Earth. See a “Grounding Cord”, like a large root of a tree going down from your hips deep, deep into the core of the Earth. See it whatever size and shape works for you. It is hollow.
Connect with Mother Earth. Feel a connection. Think of all the gifts that the Earth gives each day to all her children. Thank her. Then mentally ask and with your intention draw pure Earth energy up through the roots in your feet and through your grounding cord. See this energy as a color, and each time you do the exercise see it as the same color. This strengthens the connection and power.
The energy slowly comes up your legs and the cord and pools in the hips. There it circulates, and as it circulates, draw it up the spine to the top of the head, over the head and back down the midline into the grounding cord. This sets up a circuit of flowing energy that comes up from the Earth, pools in the hips, and flows over the spine and head and back into the Earth, circulating, flowing, cleansing, and grounding your primordial energy reservoirs.
You can sit and let this energy flow for 5-20 minutes or more. If you have time, you can allow more Earth energy to enter the bottom of your aura and slowly fill it to the top until you are bathed fully in this restorative Energy.
It’s best to do this exercise at least once per day to start the day; it grounds and strengthens the nervous system. Then periodically throughout your day pause and reconnect to your cord, draw in the Earth energy. This can be done in 30 seconds, even while talking to someone. Especially if you feel you need grounding.
My teacher asked me to do this 7 times a day for a month. You don’t need to do as much but I recommend it, you will notice good things happening in you, to you, and around you.
ROSE OF PROTECTION
Once your grounding cord is established, you can envision a large rose in front of your Heart Chakra with a long thick stem that goes down through your cord deep into the earth. By your intention set this rose as a sort of vacuum protection for negative energy. It will suck in negative energy directed towards you, or free floating negative energy that might be around, and it shoots in down the cord to be mulched by Mother Earth. Re-set your rose daily.
